Bold Explorer

No bitterness, smooth flavor and rich texture. My favorite roast from my favorite local roaster (and I've tried allot of different local roasters!)

Bold Explorer is my everyday coffee. I love the fullness of flavor--it's always just what I want.
Blaine and Leah roast, grind and package the beans with care. I love knowing my order is crafted locally by folks who love what they do and care about our community and outdoor spaces. Whether I buy my coffee face to face at the Matthews Farmers' Market, or have it delivered, their care and authenticity are evident.

I was blown away by how smooth this coffee was. The flavor notes are spot on, but in addition to nice woodsy(maybe cedar) notes, the coffee has a nice sweetness, no bitterness, and a rich texture that can only be pulled off by a roast master.

I've been a fan of this blend for many years now and I still enjoy it as much now as I did when I first tasted it. I drink it seasonally with other options from Cairn and their suggestions have always been spot on. This is definitely a fall into spring coffee because of the intense flavor and warmth it gives me on chilly or cold days. Just smelling it as I start my morning brew wakes me up and gets me ready for the day. I love filling my travel cup and heading out for a nice walk in the cool weather to start my morning.
You can't go wrong with this blend and I drink it with a bit of half and half but it doesn't weaken it at all.

We didn’t know we liked a dark roast until Bold Explorer! We tried several coffees from not only Cairn but other roasters as well, but when we tried Bold Explorer we knew immediately this was the one we’d been waiting for! We have it on a subscription and are very sad when we forget to pick it up and run out! That’s a bad day in our household. Thank You Cairn Roasters for producing such good work. Also, the customer service can’t be beat!
